Despite a big drop last Friday afternoon, oil prices move back up quickly and are now at the same level as they were in the middle of last week. So while there won't be any drop in prices in early Septemebr, prices should remain stable. Unleaded €1.20  Diesel €1.10 Home heat €520 / 1000 litres.

I expect prices to rise over the weekend to €1.20 petrol / €1.10 diesel as per forecast from 2 weeks ago and stay steady at this level until early september as above.

Seems a price war has broken out in newbridge with both new players in the market, Fraser & Byrnes Topaz, fighting for custom.

From what I can gather, both are selling below cost price and are probably being supported by the fuel distributors.

Well worth a 5 minute detour off the M7 is you're in the locality.

Yes, Newbridge is good! Have used them 3 times in past month.

For Dublin Southsiders, note that Maxol Ballinteer S.C. is currently (Aug 31, '09) at 116 and 103 respectively, so good competition for Tesco in that Dundrum nightmare maze.
