Thanks to everyone for their feedback, we have made a number of changes to the location lookup software so you should no longer get the "Are you indoors?" error. Please let us know if this has improved the app for you of if you are still having issues! When leaving yoru feedback please let us know what sort of iphone you are using and if you are connecting on Wifi, 3G or edge!

We are also looking for ideas for new features if you have any!

Thanks for your patience on waiting for this fix!

Hi Jon.

Why is firmwire 3.1.2 firmware required?

I have 3.0.1 on my iPod Touch 2nd gen which if I update to 3.1.2 I will lose some important apps which take a while to get back. Also it takes a long time to sync my apps, music and videos (around 7GB) and USB 2.0 at up to 60MB a second that takes a while.

Tried to download the Pumps.ie app today but got an error :(.

Thanks,

LaughingJoker7

I just noticed the app is the top free utility in Ireland on the AppStore! Thanks everyone for trying it out!

Just found this app on the appstore. Great stuff. It would be nice to be able to filter out old fuel prices though.

Jon,

just came across you application and website - nice one. I'll be using it for sure. I have a few suggestions for future updates and / or impovements;

- a filter system with colour coding to indicate how up-to-date prices are e.g. green < week, yellow < month, etc

- update button(s) on your application to update other information/features on stations visited - people more likely to do so on the spot rather than later.

- a means of searching for stations between towns A & B, not necessarily on a main National road.

- a search facility to find pump stations (say on a route) with certain facilities such as toilets, hot food, seating, etc - great if planning a trip across country with kids.

- a information box where additional info on say adjacent drive-thru, restaurants, shops etc could be added...

Well done again

Seosamh

Great little app, and free too, and it's introduced me to Pumps.ie :)

One thing is that if I'm connected to Wi-Fi it doesn't know where I am. Is it possible for it to interrogate either the GPS or cell tower in any case?

Well done on the site and app, now that I know it exists I'll use it and update it as much as I can.

I'm getting the same problem - App tells me to try increasing range and when I put it to maximum it still returns the same error. Anybody in there got a fix for this yet?
