am i the only one that feels that u get more mileage from filling your tank in some pertol pumps more than others? example being if i fill up the tank in Cosgrave's petrol station on the Westport road in castlebar (the cheapest in mayo today) it doesnt seem to last as much as if i filled up in another station....is there a possibilty of inaccuratly calibrated pumps or am i imagining it??!

i don't know if this is accurate but i've heard there are different grades of fuel, i imagine there is a standard quality range within which petrol must be to be sold.

Another point is how you drive, if you drive a tank at 80kmph you will get more miles than driving at 100-120kmph. So my question would be have you tested the two tank loads under similar routes, conditions and speed.

Day one all pumps are checked by Customs and pumps are locked and Customs Check Calibration every year so I too recon it is the way you drive your car determines how much fuel you use.
