Thanks Jon. I couldn't resist tinkering today so I made some changes that present the data better (petrol and diesel together).

The next version will accept price updates.

I have been notified about two bugs being experienced regarding GPS location and login errors for updates.

I'll look into it and post here when I have uploaded a fix.

Auto refresh of station list when your location changes by 500 metres or more.

Prompts added when saving settings.

Prompts added when performing updates showing username under which the update has been submitted. If you get a bad login error but your username is in the prompt, then double check your password.

GPS updates were too frequent. Frequency now set to 15 minutes. Option in Settings to set custom frequency, anything down to 1 minute allowed

Great to see the updates coming so fast. Fair play.

If anyone has any bugs or suggestions for the app after using the latest version, do let me know. Hopefully I'll get a handset soon and I'll be able to test things better myself.

Has anyone else had trouble finding the app when searching for it on a Vodafone android handset? I can't see it!

Looks like it might be swomething to do with my phone being new to the market and the Android Market not recognising it yet.

I just searched for 'fuel' and found the app.

A new version has been realeased but I am having trouble with Android Marketplace and the installation on Handsets.

Please do not upgrade as the installation will likely fail saying "the package is incorrectly signed"

Version 1.7.9 uploaded and have confirmed installation on a handset. Everything should be fine now.

I decided to fix some of the most obvious limitations. The application will no longer auto refresh the price list. It will only update the location in the background. You will have to manually hit the 'Refresh Prices' button to see updated stations/prices

I added a 'GPS Info' page that shows the current GPS fix data. This is purely for informational purposes to see how/if the GPS fix changes.

Great app. Downloaded this evening on way from Dublin to Cork.  Will be using and updating regularly on this route and around Dublin.

Added the watchlist feature. Stations you have added to your watchlist here on the site can be accessed using the 'Menu' button on your phone. You don't need GPS enabled to access and update these.

Adding and removing stations from your watchlist will be added in upcoming versions.

Version 1.9 uploaded - The phones 'Menu' button is your new friend.

This version expands on the watchlist functionality allowing you to add and remove stations from your watchlist using the simple '+' or '-' symbols on screen. You will need to hit the 'Sync Watchlist' menu button. This will get your current watchlist from Pumps.ie.

The context menu now holds the buttons for refreshing the onscreen stations and other options. This was done to free up some of the screen.

Minor fixes with additional feature of not requiring GPS for determining location. Can now use cellular or WiFi network to get a fix if required.

I had this app working fine for a few weeks, and it was great, but now it's stopped working. I have a Nexus One. I re-installed to 2.0 but it's still not working now. It shows "querying pumps.ie" at startup but then just shows a blank page (with green title bar). If I press "refresh" from the menu it tries again but still a blank page. My web connection is fine.

Then I tried creating an account and logging in... still no luck. The behaviour is the same whether I have GPS on or off. The GPS information page is showing that I am getting a fx.

Quick update: I created a watchlist and it works fine. So I'm getting full price details for my watchlist page. But on startup I still get a blank page - where presumably I should get a list of those stations in close proximity?

Anyway, I don't mean to be too critical - it's a great app for free! Just hope I can help in debugging that's all.

Thanks for the feedback. It appears some bugs have cropped up in this version so I'll get on them. Your blank page on startup is a little puzzling. It will likely be 2 weeks or so before I can get a fix out as I'm a bit stretched at the moment but I'll keep you posted.

Just started using the app but I couldn't get the watchlist to work. It was always displaying a blank page. Restarting the app and re-entering details in the settings got it to work.

Perhaps a failed login notice is needed?

Otherwise a great app. Very very useful.
