The slight downtrend / flat line in prices looks like continuing in the near term along with a weakening dollar of circ 1.30.

Unless there are budget changes, expect petrol prices to drop another cent or 2, but diesel prices to remain as is.

I would imagine the budget is going to have a massive impact on the fuel prices?? motorists are certainly going to feel the pinch even more than we already do!!

I thought we would have seen a bit more of a drop since the last forecast but any further drop will definately be stopped by a very likely increase in the carbon levy/tax

Trying again - I think this is the first time I have seen petrol prices reduce after a budget.

Gone Quiet around here so a little good news.

Applegreen is giving 2 cent off a litre the price displayed at the pump when you scan your rewards card between today 27/12/12 until the 02/01/13 when you buy fuel.

Not much but every little helps :-)

Euro heading towards 1.34 and Brent towards 110, there must be another at least 2-3 cents downward trend in it if it sticks

dunno  about it  dropping,  home heating oil is  still  increasing.

and  crude oil has  risen over the past 30 days.

I haven't taken the  exchange rate into account though.

hopefully I'm wrong
